Open Positions
If you are interested in joining the group, we are always interested in hard-working, motivated people who want to apply their knowledge of science (for example, engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science, biology, etc…) and their skills to create new 3D in vitro tissue models, use different imaging modalities, and develop strategies to analyse data for leading-edge applications in tissue engineering.
Please send me your CV, academic transcript, and a brief statement of interest in a single PDF detailing the reasons you would like to work with us. Please do not forget to add the title of the position you are applying for in the subject line of your email.
Also note that to be eligible for internally funded graduate positions, MASc applicants must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada. PhD candidates (international, Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada) are welcome to submit an application and are all eligible for internal funding.
Currently, we have the following positions open:
Tissue Engineering
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our group as a postdoctoral fellow to focus on developing in vitro models to mimic airways and contribute to our quest to understand tissue remodelling in asthma (and other chronic respiratory diseases).

PhD or PDF
Data Science / Bioinformatics
We will soon start the search for a highly motivated Ph.D. or PDF in data science and/or bioinformatics to join us. The project is focused on characterizing the cellular and molecular landscape of asthma and other respiratory diseases. In this role, you will leverage integrated multi-omics approaches and imaging mass cytometry (IMC) to uncover novel biomarkers, delineate disease heterogeneity, and identify potential therapeutic targets. Your work will involve developing and applying advanced computational methods and machine learning techniques and collaborating with clinical and experimental researchers to translate complex data into actionable insights. Prior experience with large-scale data analysis, proficiency in scripting languages, and a strong background in computational biology will be a strong asset to drive innovative research and contribute to our understanding of respiratory disease mechanisms.
More information soon! Stay tuned!
Masters
Image Processing
We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our innovative research team seeking to pursue a Master’s degree. This project involves developing advanced frameworks and plugins for ImageJ to quantitatively analyze extracellular matrix (ECM) structures—focusing on fibrous architectures. Your contributions will support cutting-edge research in tissue engineering and biomaterials.

Masters
Cellular Biology / Imaging
Soon, we will seek someone enthusiastic and dedicated to tackling a project integrating cellular biology and imaging. Our main goal will be to contribute to our understanding of cellular dynamics. In this role, you will design and execute experiments that track cellular movement in diverse media, investigating responses to physical and chemical stimuli. Utilizing advanced imaging techniques and image processing algorithms, you will quantify single-cell trajectories and behaviors, generating high-quality data to inform and refine computational models. These projects will be fully integrated and ultimately support the optimization of 3D bioprinting experiments, improve biomaterials selection, and drive innovations in tissue engineering.
